This is what happens when you can't sleep until 4am. Your muse comes and makes you start painting Sol.


So this is trying out a new way of painting, where I make lineart off a photo, since more often than not I can't sit down long enough to get a good sketch going, and because I don't have a tablet to make it digitally with; plus this lets me focus more on the painting than the shape, which is what I need with furry things at the moment.
The model is a balinese off of Flickr - I lost the actual link when my comp updated, so... =/

This is Sol from the Warriors series, who is potentially the villain of tPOT. This is just the way I see him, though I tried to fit the description of a brown and tortie that looks sortof like a lion... *shrug*

He was amazingly fun to do. ^^
