Last week of school's almost finished - project week. My group painted ten wood panels for the model train room after a design I did (I uploaded it several months back); I painted the westernmost panel with the golden gate bridge, which turned out so-so, and Mt. Rushmore on the third one, which I want to saw off and take home; it really stands out, the rest of the landscape is so flat and has almost no detail. I'll upload a photo at some point. It's even better for me, because I hate doing anything to do with people; but it was fun!
And then there's the results of the small business contest. Which has almost my entire group really, really pissed at the judges. Our idea (school lunch catering services + store) was so much more realistic and more practical than most of the others, and definitely more planned out, but we didn't win a single thing. Instead, we got lumped with the group that didn't even finish, the spanish movies-on-demand group, and the 1/3 larger economy class airplane seats for fat people that wouldn't make the airlines any more money. First prize went to the group I expected, which was for energy from stepping on a mat (which exists in Japan, apparently). But after that? The second group was an automatic salt-spreader for before snow, which is so limited and complicated to coordinate that its pretty unrealistic. Third was a restaurant in the dark with blacklight, which might be pretty cool, but which wasn't planned out much at all.
And we have no idea why we lost - my mom thinks that the judges might be biased against girls (it was a girls-only group), I just have no idea, but I'm really angry about it.

And I decided to entire my stable's annual dressage show, which should be interesting. It also means that I'm finally being forced to buy riding pants (I've used jeans for over 3 years xD)
